The IEEE Egyptian Engineering Day is the annual nexus for IEEE engineers in Egypt, organized by the IEEE Egypt GOLD Affinity
Group in conjunction with the Arab Academy for Science & Technology. This event is an opportunity for electrical, electronic, computer, biomedical, chemical & mechanical engineering
professionals to meet new associates in the field, share ideas, collaborate on their graduation projects and learn something new.
It is the place where industry and university enter a win to win situation.
Under the Slogan “Choices…Unlimited”, EED 2008 assists fresh-grads explore the entire market spectrum and match their talents
creatively to the available market options. EED 2008 can also be a good starting point for innovative business ventures and
relationships as it targets to spread entrepreneurship spirit between engineers. This would be fulfilled through the coexistence
of different parties & delegates of different backgrounds from IEEE, industry, university, ventures, government, NGO’s,
recruiters and media.

Concurrently running will be the 3rd “Made In Egypt” or the MIE Competition Finals Event on the 26th of July. MIE Projects are
these standing as a fruitful cooperation among intelligent undergraduates and experienced industrial mentors to produce mature
prototypes that tackle real needs in the Egyptian industry or introduce new products in the Egyptian market.

Also “Future City” competition will occupy a very important part of EED 2008, where you can find hands-on applications
that are designed and developed by preparatory schools' students to present their vision for a city of the future, so let's see
and encourage tomorrow's engineers.

The event will also witness the launching of the IEEE Women In Engineering Affinity Group or the WIE_ AG in Egypt
whose vision is to inspire, engage, encourage, and empower engineering women worldwide.

The overall event is a perfect chance for young engineers to take the next step in starting their own companies and also
a chance for industry & professionals to hire and get latest top-notch technologies and solutions fitting into market needs,
