GOLD has started in Egypt since 6 years and prior to its fast and confident paces it is now the most active branch in the IEEE region 8, which includes Europe, Africa, and Asia. With a focus on University-Industry link, small and medium enterprises, human and entrepreneurial development in the engineering field, GOLD is running 3 main programs in Egypt; The yearly Egyptian Engineering Day conference and expo since 2002, The Made-In-Egypt Competition with its three categories: graduation, post-graduate and professional projects since 2005 and the pre-collage program that increases the engineering sense in schools.
