In any Network system the administrator needs to increase the performance of his system and this may be done by many ways: 1-Monitoring the traffic on any device exists on the network, this device may be a router, switch or any other device. 2-Ability of accessing on any device in the network and changing any of it’s Characteristics. 3-Track router and switch performance, including memory and CPU. 4-Making the devices in the network send alarms when something I adjust on it happen. All the above things can be done using software and a Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). |
